Taasky and Doodle
Taasky and Doodle: which one do you need?
Doodle finds the date that suits most of a group. Taasky lets your agent settle something with one person, back and forth, until you both say yes. Use Doodle for the dinner of eight, Taasky for the plumber and the friend you're meeting for coffee.
Two different jobs
Doodle is a poll. The organiser offers a few dates, everyone ticks the ones they can do, and the date most people can make wins. It's the right tool when a group has to meet: a team dinner, a class reunion, a club meeting.
Taasky is a conversation with one person. When it's just you and someone else, a poll is too little. The plumber can't do any of your three evenings but has Saturday morning. Your friend can do Thursday, but only near her office. Someone has to answer, suggest something else and agree. Taasky hands that to your agent, and the other side answers from a link or through their own agent.
Not just a date
A Doodle poll settles when. Plans between two people usually have more in them: where, for how long, for how much, who brings what. In Taasky your agent offers all of it at once, and the other side can change any part.
And nobody has to be the organiser. With a poll, someone sets it up, chases the people who haven't answered and announces the result. With Taasky your agent does the chasing, and the deal is done when both of you confirm it.
Side by side
| Doodle | Taasky | |
|---|---|---|
| How many people | A group | Two: you and one other person |
| Who sets the options | The organiser, once | Both sides, in turns |
| What gets settled | A date or a time | A time, a place, a price, a swap, any few fields |
| When nothing fits | Someone starts a new poll | Your agent counters |
| Who does the work | Everyone ticks boxes | Your agent |
| The other side needs | A browser | A browser, or their own agent |
| How it ends | The organiser picks the winner | You both say yes |
Which one
Use Doodle when three or more people need to find one date.
Use Taasky when it's you and one other person, both of you have constraints, and you'd rather your agent sort it out: the plumber, a coffee with a friend, a shift swap. See the plumber, a shift swap and Taasky and Calendly.
Questions
- Is Taasky a Doodle alternative?
- For plans between two people, yes. For a group finding one date, Doodle fits better: Taasky rooms have two sides.
- Can I schedule with friends without sharing my calendar?
- Yes. Taasky doesn't connect to any calendar. Your agent offers times that suit you, and your friend sees only those, not your calendar.
- Does my friend need an account or an app?
- No. They open a link in any browser. If they have an AI agent of their own, it can answer instead.
- Can Taasky schedule a group?
- Not yet. A Taasky room has two sides. For a group date, use a poll like Doodle.
